What is Leadership Rockdale?

Leadership Rockdale, sponsored by the Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce, is a leadership Development program that selects diverse and qualified individuals and provides a learning environment that enhances personal and professional growth to benefit the community and its region.

Leadership Rockdale is an educational experience rather than a program of advocacy. It deals with issues facing our community, state and nation. The participants in Leadership Rockdale profit from getting to know each other and from the formal and informal exchange of ideas and experiences. They gain knowledge and understanding from authorities on a wide variety of subjects such as governmental organization, education and private enterprise. Thus Leadership Rockdale prepares them for a more active role in the affairs of our community.

Leadership Rockdale participants also develop leadership skills and knowledge of the community. They become familiar with current issues, community resources and social, political and economic needs, thereby becoming better qualified and more encouraged to take an active role in the decision-making process in Rockdale County. Leadership Rockdale graduates help shape our community’s future every day.
